Kamil’s surprise party was pretty much a success. To think I was stressing about his stupid book out time the whole week because of some dumb ass field camp that he had. I had been planning his party 3 weeks in advance, looking for the perfect venue to celebrate his 21st birthday and coming up with the menu and deco and the guest list. It’s been crazy because of my weird work schedule so I hardly get much done. Thank god for Ainul. I most probably will be unable to accomplish so much without the help of Ainul, Kamil’s part-time girlfriend. HAHA So, Thank you tudung, you rock. :D

Saturday was crazy for me as I just worked through the night and came home to sleep for 3 hours before getting ready and heading out to get the rest of the details of Kamil’s birthday done. I had to get his birthday cake, his balloons, present, decorations, meet rest of the gang, all before meeting Kamil.

Obviously, the birthday boy was surprised and touched by all of us. He had no clue what was going on. And it was a good opportunity to meet up with Gerri before she leaves for HK the next few months. :(

I think the pictures will do the rest of the talking. I need sleep right now, have to work from 1130pm – 9am later. :(

Happy Birthday Ahmad Kamil, you are legal now. You can watch R21 shows now. Hope you like all your birthday presents. :D

the wedding on saturday was amazing. i always love going to weddings, it's so dreamy and romantic. the yatch club was something different from your usual wedding banquet at hotels. the couple's entrance was from a yatch and it was so cool. i wanna make a grand entrance using a helicopter. haha. so i need a really rich boyfriend who can afford that. hahaaha.

food at the yatch club food was mediocre so we just spend the rest of the night camwhoring and dancing banghra. HAHAHA. and i had to work the next morning. :(

this year's deepavali was good i guess. the ang baos i collect are getting lesser each year. :( anyway, the first day, i had a few friends over for lunch and the night was save for my aunties and uncles. it's great seeing some of the idiots 9 because we hardly have a occasion where we can gather and relax and have fun and as for the rest of them, it's been a while since i saw them, esp ainul and i got to see my ahmad kamil. he can book out for the weekend. :)

if i am a princess, then kamil would definitely be my knight in shining armour.

i guess every knight needs to train to defend the kingdom and my kamil will be going to the training grounds (aka tekong) to protect his countrymen. it's sucks real bad and as much as i hate it, there isn't much i can do about it. i will try my best to be nonchalant about it, but that would be living in denial.

i bought "south park's guide to life" but i guess this guide does not include "how to survive while your bf is in ns". :( and i will have to learn how to figure it out myself or with the help of some friends.

anyhoos, i hope you, my dearest, enjoy yourself in ns and take real good care. i can't wait for you to be done with this national service shit thing. don't miss me too much ya (even though i know you will miss me a whole lot :D) i love you truckloads ahmad kamil :)))))

I will jump in to the whole thing and not start with my mundane stuff. So, F1 totally rocks my socks. The atmosphere at marina bay was crazy shit and really loud. Immersing myself in the whole hype of the F1 season in Singapore really was one of the highlights in my life. I would never have imagine the loud roar of the engines, the passion from die hard fans, the whole culture of F1 if I didn’t go for it. Of course I was able to get this opportunity thanks to Kamil’s dad. Hello uncle!

And thanks to Kamil who has been following F1 religiously every season, I got my crash course on F1 101 ever since I dated him. So, thank god for the crash course, I understood what was going on during the race and it’s not just race cars passing me by. There’s so much more to it than 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the race.

hey! it's kimi! )

F1Rocks totally rocks. HAHA. DJ Havana Brown was great at getting the crowd pumped and engaging them, it’s no wonder she is the no.1 DJ in Aussie. BEP was really really good. Iyliee, Kamil and I totally went bonkers during their performance. The energy level was really high and they are really as good as they seem and Fergie is sooo sooo hot. Beyonce was drop dead gorgeous. She is an amazing performer and singer and her boobs were like spilling out the whole time. HAHA. I loved her tribute to MJ in the song Halo. It was really a great moment. I have the videos of the concert if anyone is interested and the concert is worth every single penny. every single damn penny.

Kamil and i have been calling Hill Street Fire Station for the whole day in a desperate search for the fish eye lens that i left in the fire truck yesterday. but thank god they finally answered our phone call and i can collect it back. phew!

Yesterday saw me hanging out with people i haven’t seen for ages especially alfee. alfee hasn’t change a single bit, fit is as -.- as ever. and ainul misses me for sure. haha. the fire station museum was really cool and we got to play dress up. the museum provided fireman outfits and we took them and fool around with it. it was pretty cool. we should all visit museums more often.

We got to test out our holga and BFF BBF. i am not sure how the pictures will turn out. i have yet to develop any of the films that i used. i wonder how my pictures are so far, i really hope it turns out well.

Hung out at the esplanade, camwhored and that’s about it.

I got my virgin ride on a motor bike. my first experience on the bike was… COLD. it was going to rain so the wind was freezing and i was wearing shorts. i was a little nervous in the beginning but relaxed after awhile when i realize it’s actually quite fun to ride the on bike. oh, i could only face one direction, the left side because when i turn to the right, i feel the wind blowing off my helmet. and i got helmet hair after that. hahaha.

Bowling night for me was CRAZY! i had so much fun and i suck real bad in bowling. i can’t bowl for nuts. the last time i bowled was in secondary school. i remember we had Flag Day and my group of friends and i were suppose to collect donations but half way through, we ditch and went bowling instead. haha. so naughty right? haha. those were the days.

Anyhoos, wednesday’s bowling night was ‘stressful’ for me as i have my director in my bowling team and he is really good at it. haha. thank god, bowling skills is not part of the job requirement, if not i most probably would be fired.

Geargina, my team manager was coaching me throughout while bowling and whenever i hit pins, we all would celebrate like crazy. i think we should have more bowling nights like these. i shall brush up on my skills. whatever happened to genes from the Yong-Nathan family?

i am not really jumping for joy for this US Open. first of all, all the matches are way pass midnight and i do not have the energy to stay up till the freaking wee hours in the morning to watch the match

and speaking of that, when i do get up, it's just a couple of games or points, not even a set before i have to leave my house for work. missing the semis isn't making me toooo happy. i wanted to support novak all the way, in a way, i am his good luck charm. HAHA. when i watch, he wins. i didn't manage to watch his semi finals match, so he lost to the fedexpress.

i should have swap off days with my colleagues so i can watch the finals. haha. but i guess i have to make do with repeats.
some day, i will make my way to the grand slam. watching the match of course. if only ahmad kamil is good enough i might have gotten a chance to sit in the player's box. i only get "VIP" seats at STA. i am just babbling here. don't mind me.

really excited about thursday. gonna go on a photography trip with ainul;and gang. testing out my holga and her BFF.

S: mummy, i know a guy who is a good candidate for pam. he’s really successful in his career, good looking, young, really rich and is quite a nice guy.

Mum: really? who? introduce him to pam laa. bring him home next week or set up a date for pam.

S: can. most probably next weekend.

5mins later…

Mum: eh, such a good catch and he is not married or attached? the guy is married right…

S: nope. he’s single. he just broke up with his girlfriend.

Mum: wow, okay. ask him date pam.

And i grabbed the New Paper and show my mum the article about Lewis Hamilton’s break up.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Mum: eh, she is the lead for PCD right? (yes, my mum knows who is Nicole Scherzinger) she’s so pretty i'm sure can she can find someone better unlike your sister. still cannot find a boyfriend.

I guess my mum’s really worried that my sister is still single and she can’t find a boyfriend. Imagine my sister dating a Formula 1 driver. HAHAHA. That would be fun to watch.

Anyhoos,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAMELA SUGUMAL you bitch! Stop vomiting and get a boyfriend already.

Staring at a million city lights,
But it's still Penny and I all alone beneath the sky,
Feel the wind brushing slowly by,
If I could soar I would try, to test these wings and fly,
Away to where the leaves turn red,
But no matter where I am instead,
Singin' along to feelin' alright

Cause Penny and me like to roll the windows down,
Turn the radio up, and push the pedal to the ground,
And Penny and me like to gaze at starry skies,
Close our eyes, pretend to fly,
It's always Penny and me tonight

The Lost Symbol - this book is gonna cost me a bomb.

i have been coughing real bad for the last couple of weeks, but i guess it got worst on saturday. :( came down with a fever and had a really bad sore throat and my stomach felt really queasy. i was at work and i had to wait till i knock off to see a doctor. imagine suffering from 830-6pm. i couldn't tahan taking the train home because i am so sure that i will puke in the train so i took a cab back to meet my mum at the clinic.

when my doctor saw in my USS tee he asked, "you're working already? don't wanna study?"

"yes work first then study"

"aiyah, no need to study laa, just work, get married and have babies, stay home be housewife"

i was like what the hell, what era is this already, people actually still have such mindset. don't get it the wrong way, i love my doctor, just that its weird to hear that from him.

FYI, i am suppose to work today, but i took a MC. barely worked a month and i am taking MCs already. I am so dreading work tomorrow, the thought of waking up early....

i have been slogging at work for the past one week at universal studios. actually it's not really slogging because it's been fun and exciting. so far, the experience is pretty awesome and i have been learning alot from my management team. i can't wait till the theme park opens and i gotta feeling it's gonna be so awesome.

met up with sheryl, peiling, gopal, hazwan and kamil for dinner at geylang night bazaar. it's my virgin trip and i pretty much was amazed with all the mouthwatering food was at geylang serai. sheryl, peling, gopal and i walked from the kallang macdonald's all the way to geylang to meet up with the rest. tt's is like 44 lorongs which is like totally crazy and not really a good plan. fyi, never buy turkish ice cream if you don't wanna be embarrassed. i learnt my lesson just to taste the ice cream. the uncle embarrased me in fromt of everyone with his tricks and stuff. haha.

let's meet up to have dinner together again. deng deng anyone?

Meeting with DIPS was awesome as ever. as all of us are on a budget, we manage to spend minimal on dinner at The Prata Café. the food is good, pricing is reasonable, and ambience was fantastic.

We took forever to order because we were explaining to philly what naan, thosai, chapatthi and all the other Indian food are and because philly was so bad with indian food, we had to tell the waiters she was from china and don’t know much about Singapore food culture. haha. once our order was settled, it was our usual hehe, haha moments and the ridiculous and funny talks, just like the old days. we started the PRATA BOM, PRATA BOM, PRATA BOM TO MURTABAK BOM and then bombed thosai, naan, northern Indian food, briyani rice. you get the picture. it was a real blast with them!(pun intended)

Working makes me feel like an adult and I don’t wanna grow up. :( I guess I have to suck it up and deal with it until I find a RICH husband. Till then, I am a working girl. :(

Caught G.I Joe with fath after her constant begging and the need to see Channing Tatum again. being the good friend that I was, i dragged myself out of bed to watch the early screening of the movie. in conclusion, it was filled with lots of action and the whole time during the movie, i was DROOLING over Channing Tatum. LOVE LOVE LOVE him. super hot. :) and the scene where duke saved anna, it's to DIE FOR. main attraction in the movie is DUKE.

Over the last few days, i caught Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince. like i only watch it now right, i know. couldn't find time to watch. i have read the whole Harry Potter series and i know that Dumbledore was gonna die, but seeing it in pixels, quantify my visualisation from the book and it felt so real, so i cried when he died. :'(

On saturday, serene and i paid a visit to mr and mrs raj house to visit their new born, ashwyn. it's nice catching up with the 2 of them and see how they're doing. they were my favourite teachers in secondary school and it's so cool because they are facing with similar problems my parents had like making their kids learn chinese and tamil. haha. FYI, mr raj is indian (durh!) and mrs raj is chinese. haha.

Hmmm... i can't remember what i did for the other days. so that's all i guess. i wanna watch UP.

the last episode of FRIENDS aired last friday on star world. FRIENDS has always been my daily dose of happy pill and comfort for the last couple of months. every night, i look forward to 1am so i can catch JOEY (how youuuuu doing), RACHEL, MONICA, PHOEBE, CHANDLER and ROSS (it's dr ross). they are like my best friends, entertaining me and making me laugh in the middle of the night. :D they make me feel that all you need is friends like these, and everything is gonna be alright.

now, with FRIENDS gone, who is gonna keep me company at 1am in the morning. :(

fath, please pass me all 10 seasons of FRIENDS.
